Post subject: Tarot Cards

What experiences has everyone had regarding Tarot?
I've had two packs given to me, an old one passed down from my neighbour's grandmother and a new one my husband bought me when we first met. I prefer the old pack; I'm not sure why exactly, maybe because it was my first. I'll lend the new pack out to friends etc but the old one seems to be more personal to me so I won't let anyone else even touch it apart from holding the box to move it occasionally. Does anyone else feel this way about a certain deck? Maybe it's my OCD...

I may not know how to read them but you are not alone in this opinion. The four or five people that I have met that seem to know what they are doing with Tarot cards all have the same (your words) OCD.

i have had a few different decks throughout the years and as of yet i haven't found a deck that suits me....
I think it's just like anything else I have used decks successfully but never had a deck that i....i'm not sure of the word to use...it's like the first time you learn how to do anything and you become comfortable with it well a deck of tarot cards is the same i think the deck will some what choose you....i guess you just got lucky with that deck...
not sure about making much sense right now :crzy: |

the two decks i have were suggestions by a few of the greatest Tarot readers i have ever known, in my case i love both i feel connected to the artwork and its symbolizm.....i use Tarot of the ages and norbert losche's
cosmic tarot.....  |

I've only ever done readings for myself, and I've certainly never done a remote reading. I'm not sure how well I'll do  Can anyone else with more experience help Geri out?

 I bought my first tarot deck 30 years ago, because the bright psychedelic colours looked fresh and new. Over the years the garish colours began to grate on my eyes, and i looked for a new deck in Prediction magazine, and saw a modified Rider-Waite deck that i liked the look of. I headed off to the nearest large town to find a psychic shop that i knew of, only to find it boarded up and empty when I arrived. So made my way back to my home town, and wandered into a jokes and novelty shop in the high street, and there sitting on a shelf was precisely the Tarot deck i was looking for! As bebi said, your tarot cards will find you when you need them.
As a footnote, I was chatting to someone once who told me that she kept losing her tarot cards, so i replied that she was probably not meant to be using that tarot deck anymore. |
