I must be the odd sort since I'm a man and I thought about what type of wedding I would like. Although it's something I don't see happening, too busy taking care of hobbits :p .

I'm simple. So I want a wedding that's simple and with only those I care most for. I've seen so many weddings where hundreds of people show up and all I think of is, how many of them does the bride and groom actually know as a close friend or family member?? I'll probably have, at most, 10 people because then the memories will be special for everyone for they are people who care for us as we care for them.

I don't want a church, doesn't feel right to have a priest I've never met marry me. I would prefer it to be just me and the bride, exchanging our promises with those close to us witnessing it. I would prefer it outside, either in a garden, on a mountainside, somewhere where the air is fresh and the sky is blue. I was even thinking of wanting it in Japan - a good reason to prevent everyone from showing up without telling them I don't want them there. Send the invitation and see who's going to actually fly all the way to Japan :p .

I'm not into traditional fashion. I'll look really nice and I'm sure the bride will also look as beautiful as ever, but I prefer simplicity. Also one best man and one maid of honor (I'll probably give them different names).

Guess the only style of wedding I would like that's very complex would be a traditional Japanese wedding since it's just magical when I see it for myself.

But if not that style, the simplier the better, and no way I'm going to have the dumb wedding song. I would prefer a nice string quartet playing calm and soothing music, maybe a unique composition just for the wedding.

I want my wedding to be special and unique. But memorable for only a few so that those memories are cherished for life..

p.s. Yes, this is a man saying this :p .

I never dreampt of my wedding..to be totally honest with you.

I am a simple gal, with simple ideas.

If I am to get married, I want to do it abroad..in the hot sunshine...where I can also spend my honeymoon there too....and only have a few family members over....then after they go home (they stay for a few days) ...me and my partner would stay on for a further 2 weeks....we come back and there is a big party for everyone....

That way...I would save thousands....my sister spent £15,000 ($27,600approx americian dollars) on her church wedding...its outrageous....I know a lot of people, who have had church weddings and spent £15,000 - £26,000 on a single church wedding...my boss was one that spent over £23,600($38,300 approx) on her church wedding...NOO WAY not me...I have my own home..all I need...I dont want to spend that amount...my friend chriteen, is getting married on the 27th July....she is getting married in Cyprus...with only a few close friends and family members flying over...the party when they come home...thats it done and dusted...and her wedding all inclusive is costing just £7,000 (approx $13,400) not bad huh?? and that includes the dress, suits...food...honeymoon...cars..and wedding albums...ohh and the drink too LOL....I plan to do the same, if the time comes froggy
