Post subject: a prayer for rusty

i don't actually believe in a higher deity, or anything of that sort, but i'm hoping that you all could keep my little guinea pig, rusty, in your best wishes and possibly prayers. i know it sounds somewhat dumb to ask you all to pray for a guinea pig... but here's what's happened:
not too long ago, he developed a sist. just recently, the sist popped and has left him with a very big gaping wound. we're taking him to the vet today. i'm afraid it may have gotten infected. last night was the first time i realized it was so deep (beforehand, it had looked like it was just a surface wound). and so i cleaned it with alcohol, put some antibiotic cream on it, and attatched some cotton over it to keep it clean. then i cleaned out his cage and put fresh bedding in there and everything, in hopes that he wouldn't get anymore dirt into it.
anyhow, as stupid as it sounds, i'm very very attatched to this little animal. i had wanted a guinea pig for a very long time when i finally got him, and he's been around for nearly three years now. he really is a part of our family, and has such a big personality. i don't know if i could handle him passing away at the moment, what with everything else going on. it would really tear me apart. so please just keep rusty or "pig-pig" in your prayers. thanks.
here's a picture of the little rascal:

He looks like Jimmy!
I had a guinea pig when I was 7-8 years old that looked just like Rusty.
Does he whistle when he hears crinckling (spelling) like a plastic bag? _________________ NATIVE AMERICAN WISDOM |

... actually, he does! everytime we open the refrigerator or crinkle a plastic bag, he has a fit. he thinks it's the carrot bag, LOL.
maybe he's jimmy reincarnated! _________________ "The true mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible" -Oscar Wilde
