That is just utterly ridiculous. We are going to end up with a bunch of lifeless emotionless people running around. The way everything is going in the world we'll end up cocooned up in our own lifeless little realm. _________________ Motivate Your Mind |

| It reminds me of that movie...um, I can't remember the name. The one with Sandra Bullock, when she was a cop and no one was allowed to cuss and Taco Bell was the only resturant...the 3 sea shells in the restroom and no one kisses or has physical sex. What is the name of it?? |

LOL The movie was called "Demolition Man" starring Slyvester Stallone as a cop, wrongly convicted of a crime who gets placed into cryogenic suspension and is thawed out in the future. _________________ Masks reveal what they conceal. | YES! That is the name of that movie. How scary would that future be. I think everyone needs to take a step back and think of the effects or actions will cause for the future. |

From the link in the OP

1984!
I remember the kindergarten child that was expelled for the charge of sexual harassment when he kissed his little girl classmate on the cheek after she had kissed him and gave him his valentines day card.
We're being intimidated under color of law, from being emotionally expressive in every facet of our society. I remember the Taliban being lauded as evil oppressors because it was forbidden to get emotional at soccar games. The fans were only allowed to clap if they were excited about a play. Anything else was subject to arrest and punishment in the field before all the spectators.
(Who can forget the hangings that would take place in the goal ? Or the executions in center field, of adulterous women?)
We damned them and said our invading that country was to set the people free from such censorship. We claim they hate our freedom that's why they executed the plan on 911 and yet we are now abdicating our freedom to become exactly what we hate about them!
I'm not kidding when I refer to orwells 1984 novel as a textual draft of our National future.
War is Peace!
That's not just Orwell. That was the herald of the Bush/Cheney administration right before the Iraq invasion! That's frightening. |
