Post subject: Who is this God anyway? Reply with quote
We as human beings define our realities by comparing the objects of our known world so that we can classify and define them. If god is not like anything we have ever encountered and there is nothing else like it then how can we classify or define it. God as a concept is not even conceivable from our present perspective or mental capacity. In our minds we cannot visualize past three dimensions let alone visualize a being that encompasses all of existence with sheer thought and emotion.

Define what you mean by Deist.

Webster defines a Deist as: "a movement or system of thought advocating natural religion, emphasizing morality, and in the 18th century denying the interference of the Creator with the laws of the universe."

If that is what you mean, I don't think that at all. I don't consider god a form (formless) at all but I do consider it an entity. I don't think of creation as something that has happened, instead it is something that is happening. In my original email I was attempting to change the idea of god as a 'bearded old man in robes' to a closer representation of an entity independent of human thought and ideals. Something so great that we don't even have the mental or spiritual capacity to envision such a being (yet).

Well Frank..I've never really been taught that God was a bearded man in robe....I was raised Roman Catholic...but well that is a long story..anyway...Catholic religion doesn't really give the image of God...only the phrase.."I am...what I am."...but I have studied other religions..but none of them made a bit of sense either..I guess what I'm trying to say is...That I'm athiest..by choice.

So God as a form..or formless..that is the question for a lot of people..I think to most people religion..is a faith..taught to them..a way of understanding where they go when they die...etc,...you are stating..that.you feel that God is a concept not even concievable in our present perspective or mental capacity..guess that's what I'm not getting..

Correct! You remember on the paranormal forums how some people brought up beings that have never been incarnate. Well there are beings that have never been incarnate, that are far more advanced than anything we can imagine. Even they will not paint a picture of what god is because they say any description that we could possibly understand would not even compare to what it really is....

I know.... I know.... Where did I get this information and what have I been smoking? It doesn't sound like the scientific Frank I remember, right? I have changed a lot since we last spoke and I have discovered a lot since we last spoke. The research I am doing has completely changed my perspective on a lot of issues. I am not saying that I am the only one with this information, there are many, many people all across the world who understand what we have found.

When I first ran into the ITC experimenters of Europe and the US I could not believe what I was hearing and seeing. I couldn't begin to allow myself to take the information I was seeing and hearing as truth. I gave them the benefit of a doubt and tried it myself. Within the first freaking five minutes of trying video ITC, I made contact. I literally had to sit down. What did all this mean? Have I been wrong in my path? I was told no because that path ultimately lead to where I am today. Apparently we have had these contacts for the past 40 years at least. Direct voice communications with the "dead" and those entities who have never been incarnate. It is still hard to believe even though it is happening all over the world as we speak.

So the statement I made in the skeptic forum is that you don't have to believe me because the only proof I can offer is the recordings and transcripts (quite literally, thousands of pages). The recordings as any skeptic would say could be faked and so on and so forth. The only proof, if you require any is to try it for yourself. If you refuse to believe then just try and understand, it will be beneficial.

Of course not, that would be sacrilegious in the eyes of the church (like I care). The "old man in robes" is an image taught to us by society through the media of books, TV and newspapers. One of the greatest misunderstandings of the phrase that "man was created in the image of god" was the assumption that man is primarily a physical being. When in actuality man is primarily a spiritual being who is in fact created in the image of god and immortal. Does god exist? I am 100% certain! Is god what we have been taught to believe it is? Not in the least!

Damn, I sound like some kind of born-again! Smilie_PDT Sorry, I don't mean too! I'm really not preaching!

I never took it as preaching..Relax..I'm not here to judge...I take things that people say and analyze before I can even make an opinion on them...Who am I to say without knowledge..that what you are believing is not true unless I've witnessed it...

I am interested in hearing about what you've researched so that I may better my knowledge and be able to understand it...At this point I can't..but that isn't saying I won't if given the opportunity..

What you are saying is spiking an interest...I'd be happy to read whatever you have...it's sounds fascinating really...

Me too! I'm interested in learning more.

I've always had trouble believing in "God as the image of man" for want of a better phrase, hence being drawn to Pagan style religions where God is present in everything as energy. This fits my beliefs best, I can understand that. I am however always open to new ideas Smilie_PDT

Also correct! The entity we call god is called something else by higher beings beyond the veil (for the lack of a better phrase). God is called the source, the highest vibration in existence. All of existence radiates from this source in all direction and in all dimensions. The farther the successive dimensions are the slower the vibration. Each vibrational level is represented as a plane in our understanding even though these planes have no clearly defined borders. The farthest from the source is a super dense plane, which is close to ours where paralysis and unconsciousness prevails. Working back to the source from this unconscious plane: physical plane, quantum plane (where ghosts haunt), 3rd plane (where most go after transition), 4th and on is unknown for the most part and are called the formless planes.

Of course this is a totally simplified version of the planes' descriptions. When asked what it was like over there a higher being referred to as "technician" said the investigator Frederic Myers had their descriptions real close except for after the 3rd level.

I will write more later! I will let you do your background searches and read up on the things that I have already mentioned. Mr. Green

Slightly off topic, have you read the Celestine Prophecy (James Redfield)? I found some of the concepts put across interesting and I felt I could really relate to them.

No, I never read it. I heard about it back in its hype of the 90's. Back then it was too touchy feely for the type of person I was then. I was a prison guard at that time, hence I had to be tough and violent to get through a day at work. But I'm all better now.... Smilie_PDT big grin

Look at Rolf and Mark's site, WorldITC.org It is probably the best documented and thorough site on the subject.
