me too as you said many take these storys literally and miss the greater meaning, actually many kill each other or shun or hate others over taking thes storys literally.....

I too believe that the bible is full of fairytale stories.
The wife of Cain it speaks of (Genesis 4:16) came from the land of Nod, east of Eden. This suggests that the earth was populated when this so called god created it. Very interesting!

| that is interesting Moon, or how about the whole ecosystem beng created in 6 days, or eve being made of adams rib, or the immaculate conception, or noahs ark It goes on and on.....or a talking snake it truly is a fairytale hans christian anderson has nothing on the bible lol |

I know this is an older post but ....people have been asking these questions for centuries...
the question I want answered is....Ok..they say A&E were created by God...The main reason was for them to populate the world I think the exact quote from God was supposed to be..."Go populate this world.....ok..so they have Cain and Able...Here's my question:....Cain killed able??????Why????? and if that's true...wouldn't God have been pretty mad..and if God wanted them to keep populating...why didn't Eve have a Male and a Female...hmmm instead of 2 males...and it's said that Cain went to another land cuz God was mad at him for killing Able...whatever...sorry for those of you who believe but I'm not buying it...too many fairytales for me....El Bandito...

In the context of that version I think repopulate (as in again) might be a better way of putting it.
