When I was in Wicca 101 I was told all Gods are many fascists of one jewel. I took that to mean all are one. That is when I got out.
My Gods are many. Celtic Druidry suits me better.

I hate to be a pain..But wicca is a religion ...It really has nothing to do with being a witch.... I have yet to see a wicca be able to cast and hold a spell for a long time....I know there are many who believe in this..But as a born witch it does make me laugh.... _________________

| Quote: | | In Wicca, although the Divine is seen as ultimately One, within the Divine we see a duality. The Divine is energy; energy is movement and change, there is active and receptive, ebb and flow. The Divine is therefore seen as male and female, Goddess and God. Within different covens and traditions the emphasis on the Goddess and God may vary, but all traditions believe that for wholeness our image of the Divine must comprise both male and female. To worship either aspect alone will produce imbalance. |

That's not quite what it means. Take you or I for example, we have different roles in life depending on the situation - ie (for myself) sister, mother, daughter, wife. The Goddess and God are worshipped through lunar and solar cycles respectively, and the analogy of many faces (facets) links in with this. The cycles depict the birth, life, death and rebirth of the Goddess/God. The Goddess is better known than the God, a lot of people mistakenly assume Wicca is all about worship of the feminine. I'm sure most of us know the three "phases" of the Goddess - Virgin (waxing moon), Mother (full moon) and Crone (waning moon). The God's cycle is less well-known and consists of The Child of Promise (Yule-Imbolg), The Young Phallic God (Imbolg-Beltane), The Green Man lover of the Goddess (Beltane-Litha/Midsummer), The Sun King married to the Goddess (Litha-Lammas), The Corn King the Sacrificial King (Lammas-Samhain) and the Dark Lord (Samhain-Yule) _________________
