Post subject: Creating moving .gif images
Not sure if this should be here or in software, please feel free to move if it's not the right place.
I'm trying to add text to a .gif image for my dad, to be honest he asked me to do it and I haven't a clue. I've tried playing around with it in Corel PhotoPaint (using the movie function) but it doesn't seem to work. I have the full CorelDRAW Graphics Suite (version 12) so if there's another program on there I should be using let me know.
I'm assuming once I find out how to create a .gif image from scratch adding the text to one will be simple. _________________

There's another option, but it takes time and a lot of patience..
You could try downloading Microsoft Gif animator and having a go at it yourself... That probably sounds really sarcastic, but i don't mean it in a sarcastic way...
I animated a GIF on my PC a while ago, it was my first try and i think it came out pretty well... you can see it in my sig on UM... What I did was I started off with a base image, and then edited it using photoshop... Each edit i did counted as one frame...
It's not as complicated as it sounds... if anyone would like a hand animating something with Microsoft Gif animator, just email or PM me and i'll get back to you _________________ Join the Ministry!

I use "Animation Shop 3" for gif anim creation/final touches.
