Post subject: "Coming out" spiritually...

I was always brought up as a strict atheist, even though my mother is Jewish... I was told that God didn't exist and that if I started to join organized religions, especially christianity, my parents would be furious...
About a two years ago, when I first moved to France, i was feeling very bad... my friend had just passed away and i was going through a bad bit of depression at the time... I started to listen to TOOL and music became a very serious thing for me... It was about this time when I started to question the way my parents had brought me up. I came up with my Order/Chaos beleif which excludes any deities as such... Also i started to follow certain occult practices and teachings, and lachrymology...
So one day, i "came out" to my parents and told them "this is what I beleive, if you don't like it then tough luck" and they... sorta exploded at me... I've never seen them angrier, and now my relationship with my parents has declined sharply because of this... But no matter what, i stay with my beleifs... because they make me who I am...

yeah... confessing to my mom that i had abandoned christianity as a religion was a very difficult thing to do. luckily, she understood and respected my decision... i can't say the same for my friends, though.

| im right there with ya on that one rhyknow, i was raised strict Christian, and when i turned 14 i converted to Satanism, didnt tell my parents til i was 16, and boy did they scream |

hehe... i don't know much about satanism.. but I DO know they have the best music  good for you buddy

that sucks man....parents are like that though....they want their children to be just like them. They want their kids to follow in their footsteps.
