I can't believe there's not a topic on this already LOL
I think England will win their group stage, then probably get as far as the Quarter Finals, maybe the Semi's. I doubt very much we'll get to the Final unless we pull our finger out a bit.
Also, I think Rooney is soooo overrated... I don't think he did as well as the pundits were saying in the first match he played, in fact I saw a mistake of his almost concede us a goal *tuts* Crouch and Gerrard seem to be the current stars.

Bloody Rooney - what was he thinking?  It's his own fault he was sent off, players KNEW that the refs were cracking down on unnecessary gratituous violence and he goes and does that - right in front of the ref... Then again he's overrated and I really don't think he did much for us at all apart from helping us lose. England really tried hard for the second half and extra time; it makes you wonder what the result would have been with the full team playing...
Oh and the news this morning says Beckham has resigned from captaining England. Did he jump or was he pushed?
