Post subject: The Horrible Period Cramps...!!! I need suggestions girls!!

I for one do suffer a great deal with nasty cramps every single month..so much so that the cramps make me feel sick...tyhis goes on for 3 days or more and it's hateful when I am at work...I dont like to take painkillers, cuz I used to be addicted to pain killers...so I knocked that on the head ...so if I have it when I am off work and at home....I lay up with a heated beanie bag on my tummy and drink hot cups of tea..that usually helps a lot
Do either of you have any other neat suggestions

Have you asked your doctor about the Depo Provera injection? Basically it's a jab in your bum every 12 weeks and it stops you ovulating, therefore no more periods! I was on it for four years and it was the best thing that ever happened to me LOL after being on the coil for a while it was SUCH a relief. The side effects are similar to the pill - i.e. some women have weight gain etc, I put on half a stone but that's through eating whatever I wanted and not watching the diet hehe
Doctors don't advise it if you're likely to want to start a family, but I deliberately didn't renew mine, and 6 weeks later I'm starting my first period. Still, it means I know that in 14 days time I'll be 100% fertile

Have you been checked for endimetriosis (?) because this is a side effect
