Post subject: Stolen "New Post Notifications" ~ Resolved
|
|
|
This is only a minor problem but it's rapidly becoming a major annoyance. I'll read about three threads then I'll lose all the new post notifications for the enitire forum. I'm posting this here also in case this has happened to anyone else. I'm unsure whether it's a forum fault or a problem with my cookies holding the page information.
If it does turn out to be a cookie problem at my end (white choc chip and raspberry please mmm *ahem* sorry back on topic) If it is a problem with my cookies how can I fix it?

How often do you do run maintenance on your computer?
Disk clean up deletes cookies unless you choose to keep them. _________________ NATIVE AMERICAN WISDOM |

Ahh good thought. My anti-virus runs every 24hours, is that likely to delete temporary cookies on a standard setting? (AVG 7.0) _________________

I hope I made sense there. _________________ NATIVE AMERICAN WISDOM |

When you do scandisk/disk clean up pick the option to keep these cookies and see if that clears up the problem.

Vince you fixed it for me earlier - I just forgot to mention it
I assumed it remembered when I closed the page, as it does on UM, but your post made me realise every time I closed the page it logged me off then logged me back on with a clean slate when I came back.
