The open debate is basically exactly what it sounds like....it is taking a question and allowing anyone to debate....
The point is to voice an opinion relating to the topic at hand...
Each question posted should have two relevent sides to debate...

| Does the open debate have the time constraints that UM set on their boards? IE if you don'tpost on a debate for a certain amount of time you're penalised for it? That's the one thing that's stopped me from joining in on UM. |

Bebi i'm with you on this losing points for missing a time , i too felt the debates were not very fun... I say to BAccaberri no deadlines lol Just have fun  |

I don't know about no dead lines perhaps we should do it on a debate by debate basis depending on what the topic is and how much research is involved or how much time they have etc....
I think that a fast debate my be fun as well as a long one....so no set rules but at the same time if you go two weeks without posting then at some point you will forteit .... but we can decide those things as we go along with the people who want to debate... |

I'm trying LOL I've never taken part in a debate so I'm afraid I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing, hence staying in the Open Debate section...

| Bebi i would be more then happy to explain how the debates are going to work if you would like....I know I need to update the rules and explinations i apologize for not having done that sooner |
