Personally, i see ANY organized religion as a way of conforming a population into a certain mindset... Which I disagree with... The best aspect of the human race is the mind and it's individuality, and I feel that by conforming to the same beleifs and the same rules, organized religion suppresses that individuality...

When it comes to religion and beleifs, I simply have a few little morals...
1.Live and let live
2.People can beleive whatever they want to beleive as long as they don't try to push their beleifs on others
3.Religion and beleifs should not preach hate towards other religions I.E. catholicism against judaism
4.Faith in a certain beleif oughta be individual... As long as what you beleive works for you, you are OK
And there you have it...i probably missed a few there...

You MIGHT have missed one or two but you have the basics down.

Now all we have to do is get others to feel and do the same way as we do.

Though an athiest, I've always liked organized religion. Yes, there is brainwashing involved, but generally there are many, many, many good lessons behind organized religions. Although these lessons are sometimes forced upon people (and morals therefore), I don't think many people would be moral without them--though some are, as in your case.

I don't think this is entirely true.
I can think of a few Bible verses that do not provide a good moral example.

Eh, no one reads the Bible, you mainly learn what is preached at church (they don't do fire & brimstone anymore, :( too bad). And I dunno, I guess people can be "spiritual" without being part of an organized religion, but as more and more people cross into athiesm... I dunno, I don't think there will be much keeping people moral.
