Post subject: My Own Birth Story...BM!!!
|
|
|
I didn't know what I was going to have..but I was almost certain I was going to have a boy...WHY?? Because it kicked the living crap out of my insides...at time I thought it was going to burst through my tummy...so I thought this has to be a boy LOL
I was 7 days over due and the doc give me one last scan and told me she was going to have me brought in that following Sunday night and I was to be induced that Monday morning (Sept - 5th 2005)
I went home and looked at my big bump and told it it better hurry up cuz I have had people tell me horror stories of being induced!!!!
That day (Fri 2nd Sept) I kept feeling cramps...like period cramps, only more and more frequent
I tried to tell Gary that I may well be having contractions...he laughed and told me they where the Braxton Hicks and I had to go lay down
I timed them..they where 12 -14 mins appart..and getting stronger
Something told me to go have a bath..the pains where getting worse, so I was so desperate I ran a bath (still in agony) then after my bath...dun dun dunnnnnnnnn my waters broke...so...........I yelled to Gary and told him I was in labour...he was sick of me saying this and he got a lil rotty and yelled back.......... - "I told you they are JUST BRAXTON HICKS NOW GO AND LAY DOWN"!!!!!!!!!
grrrrrrrrrrrr<--was me after that yelling match from Gary
So I yelled - "GET THE FOOCK UP HERE NOW YOU MISSERABLE SOB"
He came up the stairs and snapped - "WHAT IS IT"
I pulled him into the bathroom (by this time I was in pure agony) and said I was in labour...before he could open his big trap to spew out that I was just having Braxtons (huh since when is he a doctor anyhoo) I pointed towards the puddle of water on the floor..and snarled (well I was in labour lol) - "WTF IS THAT HUH..NOW GET YOU FINGER OUT OF YOUR BUTT, AND GET ME TO THE HOSPITAL....NOW YOU SORRY MOFO" (I couldn't help it when a women is in so much pain she will say anything)
He panicked and said sorry...my hospital bag was already packed (yes BM here always thinks ahead lol)
We went to the hospital and with all the panick...Gary dashed out of the car and was about to leave me behind wtf? LMAO
I calmed down in the hospital big time..cuz I knew I had the help so I was a lil more relaxed and I was a lot nicer to Gary, and I held on to his hand
After the monitior test..they put me on the magic - Gas & Air..now folks this stuff is goooood sh*t LOL it makes you feel high and drunk...my contractions where 5 mins appart but I hung on to my gas & air..I even let Gary have a go...he did and he burst out laughing saying.... - "WOW they should sell this stuff in all pharmacies LOL he claims it was better than Blow lol <--Gary after having a go with the gas & air!!!
My contraction where now 3 mins appart I was taken straight to the labour ward (still on my gas & air)
I hadn't dilated much but I lay there happy as larry and was nice to everyone...........one of the midwives told me that I was very calm for someone in so much pain.....I just hugged her and lay back breathing in more gas LOL I never once snapped at the doctors or the mid wives..Gary was in shock too LOL
When they took the gas off me..thats when I could really feel the pain..but still I remained calm to the midwives...but I held on to gary while I was waiting on the epidural (I begged for it..cuz BM aint afraid of needles)
After the injected me with the epidural (right into the spine) I lay back untill it took effect...soon I couldn't feel my legs, then I couldnt feel my body from the neck down..so they where going to take the gas & air off me so I lied to them telling them I still needed it as I could still feel myself (well it was good sh*t)
A few hours passed
I lay there high as a kite LOL...it was time for me to give birth and push...but when the midwife told me to lift my legs up I said "Umm what legs, do I have legs??" I was so off my face on the gas and I couldn't feel my body at all...so Gary and the midwife had to lift my legs for me
They told me I was in pain and I had to push....I said "NO I am not in pain" they reminded me that I had the epidural so therefore I couldnt tell but I really was in pain
Soon........The epidural was wearing off..fast!! I was still pushing only this time I could feel it all....
There was some complications..so they placed me on to another bed and wheeled me into theaters...there I was strapped up..which looked like something from a horror movie!!
I had to keep pushing and man it was AGONY...I begged them to gimme more of the epidural but it was too late..so I had to give birth the hard way oohhh noooooo!!!! <--was my face!!
Soon I was throwing up loads during it all, blood was everywhere, Gary was brought in, he nearly fainted with the sight of me being strapped up and the blood all over the place, even the doctors where covered in it....as for me I didn't care I was just worried about the baby...Gary says it looked like a gory scene from a horror movie!!!
The doc told me to suddenly STOP PUSHING..but I had to throw up and I heaved...the sec I did that out she came!!!
I lay there waiting to see if it was ok and to hear what gender it was...they looked at the baby..and said -- "Aww look its a healthy baby girl" ............. I was shocked cuz I thought it was going to be a boy...I cried with joy, I looked up at Gary and said - "Look Gary its Rebecca"...gary had tears in his eyes..it was an emotional time
She weighed 8lbs14...big girl eh? LOL
Within 5 mins after they had cleaned Becky up, Gary had to feed her, cuz I said no to breast feeding....he told me that she downed the bottle in mins, she was hungry LOL and still to this day she loved her food
It took me 8 weeks to recover and my stitches to heal, I had to be re-stitched cuz there was an infection....not many women get cut open, but those that do have had big babies so they had to get sliced open..and I tell you after it all you really feel it...OUCH!!!
I was in labour for 26 hours...The birth took 10 mins...The midwives loved me and told Gary I was one of their best most calmest patient..they even came in next day and came over to the maternity ward just to see me..nice huh? Cuz I thought for sure I was going to go all ape on everyone..........However....Gary told me something I couldn't remember...he said I at once stage, grabbed him by the back of the neck, while I was waiting for the epidural and I nearly snapped his neck in two..the midwife had to help pull me off him..and when her back was turned, he said I gave him the middle finger and said those magic words - "Dont you come near me again you punk" then when the midwife came over I was nice as pie LOL.....Thing is I dont recall doing this but off well I am sure others have done this and then some
She was born Sept 3rd - 4.19pm and I would go through it all again :smt054

I had a similar experience, but went into labour on the way to my induction appointment. After I had the epidural I promptly fell asleep for three hours LOL _________________
