Post subject: Moving House! Yay!

We've just got back from seeing our future landlady.
We're due to move in next weekend so I may not be about as much around that time. We're going to have to start packing next week and getting things like telephone/gas/electric changed over so please excuse any lack of attendance here for a couple of weeks...

Wow. I'm moving, too. I'm closing on June 10th in a very nice house. :tchin:

Aaarrgh what a time... FINALLY got some kind of net access - dialup ffs - so I'm back but kinda not as I won't be able to sit online all day as before hehehe

The move was stressfull as ever but it went ok. The new landlady is great, she lives next door and keeps popping round with bowls of food for us. The cats are still a bit confused as we've only moved a couple of streets away - Davith now comes here on a morning but we need to go and call Cuddles and Margaret. They follow us back to the new house like dogs LOL

Moving just a few blocks is worse than several KM/miles. When it is a bit of a drive atleast you get a chance to rest between loads.

I know what you mean; at least if it's a decent distance it's worth hiring a removal van and doing it all in one go. We actually carried all our stuff round by hand, in cleaned out wheelie-bins, and borrowed the local shop's goods trolley for really heavy items like the washing machine & fridge. It took us about a week in total even with enlisting our local family's help and we were truly shattered  in fact, we still are LOL
