I am aware people are born Gay..I have no problem with it at all...heck I have fought for gay rights on UM...(trust me I have lol)

But when I watch a tv show..or meet a Gay man in real life...I cant for the love of me get over, just how in your face camp he can be Smilie_PDT

I know there are milions of gay men around who dont act so camp, and get on worse than any living female!!!!!

To me it's all an act, to seek attention...not saying to be gay is to seek attention...the OTT in your face bitchyness ect is an act, if ever I saw one

My partner Gary met one today. when he went to fix a ladies satellite box ....he went to the front door and saw a guy peeping out the crack of the door at him...when Gary went to enter...the guy came out from behind the door, giggling at him...and he says to Gary..........." Hee hee, did you see me peeping out at you, as you walked down our garden path?" Mr. Green

Gary looked at him and said -- "Umm yea"

He looked at Gary and said.... " I thought you where going to be that b!tch Peter Marks (a guy gary happenes to be best friends with) Mr. Green

Gary replies..."ohh ok sorry to disapoint ya" (thinking hmm i'll pretend I don't know who peter is )

The guy then tells Gary how much he hates this guy Peter Marks...he stand and bitches like a drama queen, calling him bitchy girly names...this went on for 10 mins or so!!!

Then he asks Gary to give him a brand new digi box.....Gary tells him, he has only got refurbished boxes...what does the gay guy do??

He threw a hissy fit...yea..stomping his feet on the ground, like some lil 2 year old kid, who didn't get his lolly pop!!! WTF?? Smilie_PDT yapping to his mother..."This isn't fair..it's just NOT ON tut tut tut no fair" (you gotta picture this LOL

Then he went on and continued to b!tch on and on about Garys best friend, calling him more and more foul names...so Gary was pissed that this guy was putting his friend down...because he knew this guy from school...so after that the guy stops and says to Gary..."Have you any Panasonic boxes..I WANT a Panasonic digi box"!!

Gary at this point was tired of his bitching..so Gary thinks hmmm ok...he goes into his van(truck), and took out an old Panasonic model (that was really old) and handed it to the gay bloke....The guy got all excited and yelled out---- froggy "look mommy..LOOK it's a Panasonic model..isn't this just gorgeous mommy whooppeee"

Within secs..his sister called him on his cellphone telling him that her son had written over the front of his garage door with permanent marker LOL...the guy threw another b!tch fit stomping his feet and yapped about this lil nephew of his, like some wench on PMS!!! He asked Gary, if he knew how to remove permanent marker from his garage door..........Gary of course told him to use...get this...PETROL!!! OMG..yea petrol will remove the maker drawings alright, and remove the painwork too....Gary did that in badness!!...Gary should have told him to use White spirits..not petrol...s when I asked gary WHY he suggested petrol............he told me, it was because this guy was getting on his nerves and how arrogant he was with Gary too!!...ok fair enough I thought!! Smilie_PDT

The Box....

Gary installed it really fast and couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.....WHY?? cuz Gary KNEW it was an old model that was refurbished over and over and was bound to break in no time LOL...he says he only did that becase the guy was bad mouthing about his best friend..and he wasn't b!tching about his best friends work...he was just b!tching about his friend, because he knew him from high school, and he annoyed Gary over it LOL

I have seen a lot of gay guys act OTT when it comes to b!tching...they go way overboard..throwing fits ect....it's nothing to do with being gay IMO..its an act..looking attention Smilie_PDT

I know a few gay men.

The ones that act as you described are the 'feminine' types who seem to

a - over exaggerate what they observe real women (some of them) do in order to attract a man.

b - gotten most of their mannerisms from bad situation comedies

c - are really, really annoying!

Of course, not all gay men act this way, and there are a few that you would never be able to tell unless they told you.

Many of the 'fem' types who are not so over the top, do it because they relate more to the role of the female than the male. They are the ones who affect some of the mannerisms and speech patterns of women, without being conscious of what they are doing, while not appearing as caricatures.

I asked one guy why he did that and he told me:
"I do that to piss of the homophobes. I never act that swish around my gay friends"

And I have to admit, watching a 6' 3" 300 pound muscle man act like a giggly schoolgirl was kind of amusing. And the SOB acted more OTT the more his victim squirmed.

LOL

Hmm, I'm not sure if this is only a gay thing, there are super annoying straight people to. I do dislike gay pride though, which is kind of related, because I don't like it when people are showy.

Well, IMO you should be proud of who you are... and straight men who act all camp are just following the metrosexual fad...

You should be proud but you don't have to show it. I don't really care to know or see gay people parading around and they should respect my wishes. I have no problem with people being gay, but if I don't ask don't show it off.

well then, we should also ban St Patricks day parades, Puerto Rican Pride parades, Columbus day, and any other expression of pride in ones ethnicity, country, or profession, since they are 'showy' as well.

Ever stop to consider that gay pride marches and celebrations are in direct response to the fact that they have had to hide their natures for decades, if not centuries?

I cannot speak for other countries, but here in the US, there are still many places where gays, lesbians and bisexuals cannot be themselves due to the fact that they would be in physical danger of assault or even death.

If there is a parade, or celebration of ANY kind, you do not have to attend if it bothers you.
