Deism is a state of mind. When you realize that none of the organized religions of the world can actually give any evidence of the existence of their god/gods/sons of god/gods and goddesses, much less prove that theirs is the true religion, when you realize that there is no evidence at all that any deity has ever contacted, directed or even interfered with this world (much less mankind), then you will be on the way to accepting Deism. Whereas Atheists and Agnostics either deny deity or are unsure of the existence of deity, Deists observe and study nature, seeing in the fine meshing of the natural laws and the very “life-friendliness” of the universe; the existence and the very love of the Creator for all of his creation! We see that the Creator is not homocentric, but rather shows no favoritism towards any of his creatures. We realize that his seeming indifference is not truly that, but rather that he has given us true “Free Will” and that any interference with us would remove that free will. Once we understand that, we are truly free of the bonds of organized religion and have achieved the state of mind that is Deism. Orc ass
