This is a thread for everyone to moan about their pet hates regarding chat rooms.
Don't you just hate people who come in the room and moan at you for "being online in a chat room and have no life" Hmmmm like what are THEY doing?? LOL The phrase "don't throw stones if you live in a greenhouse" comes to mind...

Yes Yes Yes!!! Especially when you're doing it (Chat) and saving 9-cents a minute in Long Distance/International Distance telephone rates. Having friends, family, and colleagues all over the globe has led to $1000+ monthly phone bills in the past. I'll take the $42 a month for unlimited time from Comcast and use it how I please, even when I'm chatting to 27 other freaks about the interplay between Weir and Garcia during the "So What?" jam preceeding "Sugar Magnolia" to begin the second set on March 27, 1988.
What makes me laugh, though, is when my students tell me that they Chat instead of spend face-time talking and they live on the same floor of the same dorm. This creates a type of anti-social behavior that shows itself in other (public) situations. |

I used to join in the Yahoo Messenger 20's chatrooms all the time a few years ago LOL...we used to get on the mic..and played songs ect...I was nominated President of room 10 in the 20's roamance rooms on Yahoo  People used to ask me if it where ok to get on the mic LOL me and my aka geri_babe55 old Friend Gina aka Ladywolftress she was from Cali USA ...used to run the joint :smoke: LOL it was so funny...I would have sat on there for hours at a time....I never would have went near a forum....We used to build our own chat rooms and invite people then play our own music again.....
We had full controll of not just the mic but we had what you call - Yahoo Booters...we could boot people out of the chat rooms...there was so many booters to use....I used to get carried away with booters that at times I would have booted myself off by mistake 
Gina(ladywolftress) & I had many different Yahoo ID's like .....

 those where the days....sigh..and then we reached our 30's and that was it..it wasnt the same no more..and then the rooms where invaded by porn bots...lots and lots of them...its was fecking annoying acccckkk so now I hate chat rooms :o
