I'm herbivore. I've never liked meat much (my baby books say likes baked beans dislikes chicken)
Recently I've found out I'm lactose intolerant which will basically make me Vegan. _________________

Omnivore
I am a human it is natural for me to eat some meat. Look at chimps they eat meat. I eat meat about three or four times a week. I tried going veg and it didn't work out for me. I was tired all the time. I like a balanced diet. A nice big bloody steak, bake potato, salad, and a beer.
Life in the balance. :drink: |

I know where you're coming from. I've never liked meat and from around age 11 I asked my mum if I could stop eating it. Three years later after showing her I'd thought about it carefully she agreed for meto become vegetarian at age 14. The only trouble is she (helpfully lol bless her) bought nothing but cheese and onion pies/pasties and now Ican't stand them LOL. She's more informed now, although she's still under the impression that I need "something" to replace meat with my dinner - she's always buying veggie stuff that I've never even heard of never mind tried before :X-/: I've told her just give me a plate of veg and I'll be perfectly happy but noooo... _________________

| Maybe it is time to start cooking some veggie meals for your Mom instead of just waiting for dinner to hit the plate. I started cooking family meals at 14 out of self defence. My Mom was a terrible cook, but she tried. She was really glad when I took over, I took after Grandma when it came to cooking. |

Heh I'm 30 this year, I've cooked her plenty over the years. I was just relating my experiences. The most truly odd thing mum bought for me was Vegan Turkey with stuffing that was for last Christmas dinner when we visited. That's what I mean when I say she has to get me "something" to have with my dinner. You'd think that after 15 or so years she'd have worked out that I don't like the taste or texture of meat so there's no point in buying things that are supposed to echo it _________________

Great how about posting some of those recipes in the Vegan Dinner Recipes thread in Recipes. I go to a lot of Pagan picnics and many people who go are vegan. Everybody likes my cooking, but the vegans. Be nice to have something for everyone.
