Post subject: Alka Seltzer...the surprising PROS!!
|

When I misscarried my 1st child, some doctors told me it may well have been my blood not flowing propperely and clotted on me...some did not advise taking asprin...but some say taking a lil asprin (not strong) may help...it all depends on what your doctor tells you..alway be sure to check with a doctor 1st hand
Anyway...I told my doctor that I read about other moms that took a lil asprin after they had been through a few misscarriages and their blood was clotting, so this may well have been the cause of the misscarriages...so I told my doc that I was taking - Alka Seltzer to help my blood flow and it only contains a lil of asprin...they ran a few checks on me and saw everything was just fine as it should be.....I managed to give birth to a healthy baby girl..no worries...
I have also spoken to a girl I work with that had 3 misscarriages..then on her 4th try..she took an asprin once or twice a week and was able to carry her child all the way and her baby tured out to be a healthy baby boy....so I think maybe a lil asprin now and then does help...and Alker Seltzer help your tummy upsets and only contains a lil asprin..so it helped a lot
:) BUT REMEMBER if you ever try this idea..you MUST consult your doctor

Alka seltzer works on my migraines also
It was such a surprise; I'd taken some codeine and managed to throw it up 20 mins after I'd taken it. I daren't take any more in case I accidentally overdosed (wasn't sure how much I'd digested) so after two more hours of suffering I took some Alka Seltzer. Within half an hour my migraine was easing.

Did you know that if you take a face cloth...let the cold water run on it for a few mins...rinse it out...get a scarf (any kind) place the cold face cloth on your head...tie the scarf as tight as you can..and lay down for a few mins or so...then take it off...your headache will lift??
Well if you didnt know about it...you do now lol and yup it works..and you dont have to consult your doc..because this does no harm _________________

Good idea. I have a sleep-mask which I find helps migraines etc a lot, it means Andy can have lights on and potter around and not disturb me. I keep the sleep-mask on the tightest setting too - great minds eh _________________

My brother gave it to me, although I'm sure places like larger branches of Boots the Chemist should have something in stock. Alternatively go to any large store such as John Lewis and ask.

A good selection of masks available online. There's a therapy section too.

This one looks good! I normally wear ordinary earplugs with migraines...
The Hibernate one's closest to mine but without the ear pieces. I find the wide velcro strip helps to keep it nice and tight; some of the ones on the first site seem to have flimsy backs.
