Post subject: Air Rifles

I just thought I'd mention that in the UK you now need a licence to own an air rifle or air pistol. If you're in any doubt contact your local police station and have a chat with them, they'll help answer any questions you may have. We only found out because we're doing a car boot sale on Sunday and rang the police to ask if we were allowed to sell my air rifle on the stall. I've had the thing for about 8 years now and have only used it a couple of times.

I have seen some air rifles (AKA BB guns/pellet rifles) have a higher muzzle velocity then some fire arms.
Here in the US for the most part they are legal.

It's only quite recently this law has come into force; I had no idea before I called the police up.
Mine's a .22 pellet rifle. It's lived under the bed locked up in it's carrycase for the last 6 years LOL

I'm play airsoft and paintball alot. Sucks you have to have a license to have fun these days.

In Italy and France all you have to do is walk into the nearest Tourist shop and buy one...
